Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: August 14, 2026

Welcome to the Tashkeel Publishing & Distribution online store. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of tashkeel-eg.com and any purchase orders placed through it. By using the website, creating an account, or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms, in addition to the Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy, and Exchange & Return Policy.

1. Definitions
  • Tashkeel or We: Tashkeel Publishing & Distribution, the operator of the online store.
  • Website or Store: tashkeel-eg.com and its pages and services.
  • Customer or User: Any person who visits the website, creates an account, or places a purchase order.
  • Products: Books, novels, publications, bundles, boxes, gifts, and any other physical products offered for sale.
2. Eligibility to Use the Store

You must have the legal capacity required to enter into a purchase agreement. If you are under the legal age, you must use the website and complete orders under the supervision or with the approval of your legal guardian. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for the use of your account.

3. Account and Security

You may be able to purchase as a guest or through an account. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information and keep your login credentials confidential. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We may suspend an account used for fraud, service abuse, or violation of these terms, while taking into account the user’s legal rights.

4. Product Information

We strive to accurately display book titles, authors, images, prices, specifications, and availability. Minor differences in cover colors may occur due to screen settings or differences between printing batches. Publishers may also update a cover or edition while keeping the core content unchanged, unless the edition number or cover is specifically identified as an essential element of the order.

If we discover a material error in a product description or price after an order has been placed, we will contact you to confirm the purchase based on the correct information or cancel the product and refund any amount collected. We are not obligated to honor a price that was clearly displayed incorrectly due to a technical or typographical error, subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

5. Prices and Currency

Prices are displayed in Egyptian Pounds unless otherwise stated. The final price, shipping fees, and applicable discounts are shown at checkout before confirmation. Prices and promotions may be changed for future orders at any time and will not affect an order already accepted at the confirmed price, except in cases of an obvious error as described in the previous section.

6. Order Placement and Acceptance
  1. By submitting an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products listed at the displayed price.
  2. An automated order receipt confirms that the order has been registered but does not necessarily constitute final acceptance.
  3. An order is accepted after reviewing the information, product availability, and payment or confirmation of cash-on-delivery payment. A processing or shipping confirmation may then be sent.
  4. We may contact you by phone or WhatsApp to confirm cash-on-delivery orders or address information.

We may reject or cancel an order before shipping in cases of stock unavailability, inability to verify the provided information, reasonable suspicion of fraud, a material pricing error, or inability to ship to the specified address. If payment has already been collected, it will be refunded according to the payment method and applicable law.

7. Availability and Pre-Orders

Adding a product to the cart does not reserve it. All orders are subject to actual availability. If a product becomes unavailable after an order is placed, we may offer an alternative with your approval, ship the remaining items, or cancel the unavailable item and refund its value. No product will be replaced with another without the customer’s approval.

8. Payment Methods

Available payment methods may include cash on delivery, credit or debit cards, electronic wallets, or any other methods displayed at checkout. Electronic payments are processed through authorized payment providers such as Paymob. Transactions are also subject to the terms of the payment provider and the issuing bank. You must use a payment method that you are legally authorized to use.

9. Cash on Delivery

The order amount and shipping fees must be paid using the payment method accepted by the delivery company upon delivery. We may request telephone confirmation of the order. In cases of repeated order refusals or failure to receive orders without a valid reason, we may disable cash-on-delivery payment for the account or phone number, or require advance payment for subsequent orders, in order to limit misuse and shipping costs.

10. Discount Codes and Promotions
  • Discount codes must be used within their validity period and in accordance with the products, minimum purchase requirements, and channels specified in the promotion.
  • More than one discount code or promotion may not be combined in a single order unless the promotion expressly allows it.
  • Certain publications, bundles, or discounted products may be excluded.
  • Discount values cannot be converted into cash.
  • Use of a discount code may be canceled if fraud or the creation of multiple accounts to circumvent promotional terms is established.
11. Shipping and Delivery

Orders are subject to the Shipping Policy published on the website, which forms part of these Terms & Conditions. Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by seasons, holidays, or force majeure. Responsibility for safeguarding the product passes to the customer when it is delivered to them or to an authorized person at the specified address, without affecting their right to make a claim regarding a defect that existed before delivery or damage caused during shipping.

12. Cancellation, Exchange, and Returns

Orders are subject to the Exchange & Return Policy published on the website. Due to the nature of the products, books in good condition are excluded from the right to return without cause under the applicable legal exception for books. However, the customer’s full rights remain protected in cases of defects, damage, or non-conforming products.

13. Book Recommendation Service

The “Choose a Book for Me” tools, recommendations, and bundles are provided to help readers based on the information they choose to provide. These results are recommendations only and do not guarantee that every book will match the customer’s personal preferences or achieve a specific psychological or educational outcome. Psychological, health, or self-development descriptions of books do not constitute medical, psychological, legal, or professional advice.

14. Reviews and User-Generated Content

When submitting a review or rating, you confirm that the content reflects a genuine experience and does not contain abuse, defamation, personal information belonging to others, or material that infringes intellectual property rights. You grant Tashkeel a non-exclusive license to display and promote the content in connection with the relevant product. We may remove content that is unlawful, misleading, or otherwise violates these terms, but we will not alter a legitimate opinion simply because it is negative.

15. Intellectual Property

All rights in the website, trademarks, designs, text, images, data, and content owned by or licensed to Tashkeel are protected by applicable laws. They may not be copied, republished, or used commercially without written permission, except for ordinary personal use of the website and quotations permitted by law. Purchasing a book does not transfer copyright or commercial exploitation rights in its content to the customer.

16. Prohibited Uses

It is prohibited to use the website for any unlawful activity, attempt to hack or disrupt it, collect user data without authorization, introduce malicious software, impersonate another person, manipulate prices or promotions, or repeatedly place fraudulent or fictitious orders.

17. Third-Party Links and Services

The website may contain links to or services provided by third parties, such as payment gateways, shipping companies, and social media platforms. These services are subject to the terms and policies of the respective providers. We are not responsible for the content of external websites that we do not operate, while remaining responsible for our legal obligations relating to your order.

18. Limitation of Liability

We take reasonable care to maintain the availability of the website and the accuracy of its content; however, maintenance activities or circumstances beyond our control may cause interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, Tashkeel shall not be liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses that do not result from a breach by Tashkeel. Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, mandatory consumer rights, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

19. Force Majeure

We shall not be responsible for delays resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, public disturbances, decisions by government authorities, or widespread disruptions to transportation or telecommunications services. We will endeavor to notify customers, minimize the impact of delays, and provide an appropriate solution, including cancellation and a refund where fulfillment becomes materially impossible.

20. Severability and No Waiver

If any provision is deemed unenforceable, it shall be interpreted or excluded to the extent necessary, while the remaining provisions shall remain in effect. Our delay or failure to exercise any legal right does not constitute a waiver of that right.

21. Changes to the Terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to our services or applicable law. The updated version and its effective date will be published on the website. The terms in effect at the time an order is placed will apply to that order unless a change is required by law.

22. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms & Conditions and the rules governing sales are subject to the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. We will first seek to resolve any complaint amicably through customer service. This does not affect the customer’s right to contact the Consumer Protection Agency, the competent authorities, or the competent Egyptian courts.
